If you need a ride to an event, please call Marin Village at 415-457-4633 about four days in advance of the event.

 “Great Books” will not meet in July since Ginni and Paula are traveling.  However, the group will resume on Thursday, August 2, 2018,  1:00 - 3:00 p.m., at Ginni Saunders’ home.  We will be discussing the following short stories found in Counter Parts under Fidelity: “An Arundel Tomb” by Philip Larkin and “Love is Not a Pie” by Amy Bloom. We’ll head over to the east bay for a docent-led tour of Franklin Roosevelt’s Presidential Yacht Potomac (berthed at Jack London Square) followed by a no-host lunch at a nearby restaurant.  Cost of tour: $8.  We’ll carpool from Novato at 10 a.m., returning around 3 p.m.

Directions:  101 north to San Marin exit, left on San Marin Dr., left on Redwood Blvd., right on Pinheiro Circle

Parking:  Street parking is available on Pinheiro Circle past the Club House and also on Redwood Blvd.  Please avoid parking in designated resident spaces.


It’s always fun (lively conversation, fresh coffee/tea and lots of tasty treats!) to get together in this friendly, comfortable setting.   Feel free to bring your friends and neighbors along.

For July's lunch, we’ll gather at Moylan's for a hearty pub lunch.  A family-style gathering place, Moylan’s offers a menu to fit every taste… and chips, bangers and mash, wood-fired pizzas, juicy burgers, fresh salads, and savory sandwiches.  Join us!

Here's another Novato Village group that really knows how to have fun!  Boggle is a game played using a plastic grid of lettered dice in which players attempt to find words in sequences of adjacent letters. Be prepared to boggle your mind and have a blast!


Though the following are not Marin Village sponsored events, they may be of interest to members and volunteers.

WHEN:  10:00 – 11:00 a.m.  on 1st & 3rd Wednesday of each month

WHERE:  Margaret Todd Senior Center, 1560 Hill Rd., Novato

Seasonal produce from local suppliers and growers (priced at or below wholesale) is offered twice each month.  Convenient per-item pricing saves money since you’re able to purchase only what you can use (e.g., one radish, one stalk of celery, ½ head of lettuce.)

If you or someone you know have either been the victim of a crime or witnessed a crime, Yolanda Johnson, Advocate from the District Attorney’s office, is available to meet with you to answer questions, provide information, and connect you with resources.

Sponsored by the Alzheimer’s Association, in partnership with the Novato Independent Elders Program, Shannon Speaker will provide information regarding memory loss.  She will explore the 10 warning signs of Alzheimer’s disease and the importance of early detection, along with the local community resources that are available.
